This course is specifically designed for those students wishing to pursue a career in this field, but is also regularly attended by veterinarians, physical therapists, human massage therapists, equine massage therapists, trainers, barn managers, and chiropractors who would like to enhance their skills.
Participants are trained in the theory, concepts and practice of Myofascial Release (MFR) as it pertains to the equine. MFR restores the length and elasticity of the fascia creating long term benefits.
Students get so much from this 3 day course, that offers plenty of hands-on practical experience, specimens, multimedia illustrations & video clips. While it is billed as an Introduction Equine Massage & Bodywork course you will find that it offers more information than many basic massage workshops currently available.
This course is very different from the Equine MFR I course. In the MFR I course emphasis is placed on the use of the right brain for listening to the body and using intuition, in the MFR II course students will be using the left brain to investigate the possible causes of certain restrictions.
We have added this three day Equinology® Equine Body Worker Review Course to allow the Equinology® student to just concentrate on a review. Often students are requesting a brush up and feedback on their skills so this will enable a great opportunity to do just that.
Dr. Nicole Rombach MEEBW, MSc., PhD presents this 3-daycourse for licensed equine health care professionals (please see prerequisites).
